WARREN’S POINT ROAD

LITTLE COMPTON, RI

A new home on Warren’s Point takes advantage of the surrounding views to create a warm and modern beach home. Twin gables establish private quarters for a multi-generational family, threaded together via roof decks and gathering spaces. Large and small apertures frame nearly 360° views to the water & surrounding fields. The house is sited to direct the main view towards the nearby pond, shield a private outdoor terrace and swimming pool, and maximize the potential for light and air movement through the interior spaces. The Screened Porch, located directly off this terrace, is carved out of one shingled volume, creating a protected outdoor area from Little Compton’s strong winds. Intended to remain in the home for many generations to come, the natural exterior materials were selected to age in place and only grow more beautiful over time. The interiors, also designed by Studio Hearth, draw upon the colors and textures from the landscape to create a light-filled atmosphere in harmony with its surroundings.
